Twitter Literacy Project Reflection

I did a twitter campaign to convince people at the school to read. I based it off another twitter account named "Reminding you to drink water". The account basically entails what the name is. The account posts reminders telling you to drink water, which I think works really well at getting people to remember to do things that they should.

This was my first tweet and I decided to put a fun spin on it by promoting reading at the same time.

This was a reminder to read because if someone is on twitter their just wasting time.

This was a retweet to promote reading

Just a fun type of reminder, its directly inspired from Reminding you to drink water because they post reminders just like this.

I thought it was relatable and worked well to get people to read.

This was to bring attention to the main purpose behind the project.

I dont think that this project was as successful as I would have hoped. I kind of did it last minute which definitly didn't help but also my method wasn't really effective. I was talking to Chris Rivers and he told me that my tweets didn't really make him want to read. If I had to do it again, I would have done it more like argenta because his tweets worked much better than mine. I don't think it really worked.

Comments

  1. I liked how you did a reminder to read style of twitter. It helps you remember to do something or want to do something when someone is urging you to. I liked the creativity and reliability of your tweets and how they were fun and original.

  2. Nick E J, I liked how you modeled your tweets after another viral Twitter page. I wish this was an idea I had considered. I also liked how your tweets were different and got different aspects of the message out.
