Twitter Literacy Project

This project is to encourage young men, especially those in my school, to read. I am choosing a twitter account because I think it will work best when it comes to accessing people on a more consistent basis. My idea of the twitter account is based on another account named Reminding you to drink water they tweet multiple times a day and create humourous messages reminding people to drink water. I can't say for other people but these reminders actually work pretty well for me. I think that this can be applied pretty well to reading. One part of my plan is from creating these funny reminders to read but also introducing my followers to new books, almost like the daily reading minutes. I think that this can help bring peoples attention to books that they may enjoy and also providing reminders will direct them towards reading which is a much healthier distraction than scrolling through twitter.
